HOOPA HIGH SCHOOL ART

PROGRAM

About Hoopa Art Program

HOOPA HIGH SCHOOL Art Program mission is to: present significant art to Hoopa High School, the community and emphasize regional artists, with special attention to Humboldt county artists. We also collaborate and foster interraction among area artists and institutions as well as advance the arts and artists to stimulate wider art appreciation among our community.

Faculty Pledge

We understand that this mission is not only symbolic, but also essential to our community. I will awaken the creativity of students, and allow them to have the unlikely opportunity to be exposed to arts and culture. I will show these students, that wherever they come from, whoever they are, the world is in their hands, and they can and must believe in their dreams! This program will enable each child to have access to a world that differs from their every day lives. It will open up a world of poetry, magic, dreams, beauty, passion, and creativity, which will also educate them on the importance of the arts and how it relates and collaborates with teh rest of the world. By presenting these children with access to the universal language of art, the art community will truly demonstrate how Art Can Contribute To A Better World.
